Role

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) generates quality outbound Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs)

Their objective is to accelerate our software sales cycle by solely focusing on creating quality SQLs through outbound phone, email and social outreach methods to organise appointments and demos to shwcase our innovative building information software for the Account Executives (AEs) to host and convert.

Their goal is to identify opportunities, prospect and create a growing pipeline of quality, qualified leads to drive through the funnel, supporting the sales effort to help convert deals into sales orders and revenue.

Focussing on outreach, prospecting, lead qualification and connecting with as many leads as possible, the SDR learns about prospective businesses and their needs to determine good customer fit. By educating, answering questions, and sending resources to them, they contact every lead and determine who stays within our pipeline and who goes, moving leads through the sales pipeline. If a prospect is a good fit, the SDR schedules the next step between their leads and our account executives.

The SDR is laser-focused on creating and validating outbound generated leads, uncovering complexities and unnecessary costs in our prospects building information processes, addressed through Operances’ innovative software and services.

The SDR role is an intermediate sales role with an optional and clear promotional journey, progressing from Marketing Development Representative (MDR) level, to Account Executive (AE) and beyond.

Responsibilities

  • Generate SQLs: creation of outbound sales qualified leads via phone calls, chats, and individual email efforts as a result of your prospect targeting and outreach methods, building a healthy backlog of prospects and leads from within our agreed target sectors.

  • Sales planning: development and presentation of business case proposals on suggested new target sectors.

  • Meet targets: individual SDR goals based on generating an agreed number of quality outbound SQL conversions in line with overall sales team Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).

  • Collecting and analysing data: managing the collection and analysis of pertinent data about the AECO (architecture, engineering, construction and operations) industry to help our company achieve the ideal service mix and set the right growth targets. Decisions about which segments and clients to target are made on informed decisions based on sound data, including information about client behavior and lifecycle, industry trends and growth potential for each new account.

  • Arrangement of sales appointments: following a regular cadence procedure across three channels (phone, email, CRM), the MDR will book in demonstrations and sales meetings for the AE to host.

  • Pipeline management: expeditious management of the pipeline and qualified leads to establish a quality pipeline of potential customers by determining who stays and who goes. Delivery of regular audits to maintain quality of information and standards. Building of relationships with prospects and existing customers, educating and guiding them through the buying process. Robust information management of pipeline data to ensure our sales and our customer’s information is safe, secure, uniform and GDR compliant.

  • Cross team functionality: assiting B2B sales teams focus on high-quality leads, increasing their chance of conversion. Liaison with marketing to elevate the role marketing plays in the revenue engine, bridging the gap and aligning sales and marketing.

  • Prospect relationship management: creation of new connections and building of relationships and partnerships with prospects through customer referrals or joint marketing campaigns.

  • Cross-selling: primarily focussed on selling enterprise and pay-as-you-go individual licenses for our innovative building information management platform software, AEs have a secondary obligation to cross-sell our digital transformation and building information modelling services to clients that need it.

  • Competitor management: understanding of the competitor landscape and key USPs of Operance digital products and services.

  • Meeting attendances: Input in the development and delivery of sales pod daily stand up (DSU) planning sessions, fortnightly sales sprints and monthly quarterly performance reviews.

 

Skills & Requirements

  • Education: bachelor’s degree or higher in subjects such as sales management, sales promotion, sales and marketing, business administration, communications, marketing or related fields desirable.

  • Sales experience: strong understanding of the sales funnel process and knowledge with at least 2+ years of commercial outbound B2B experience essential. Understanding of how to effectively work within a sales team/sales pod with professional hands-on experience with a track record of results are desirable but necessary as training will be available for post-graduates. Ability to deliver a variety of sales contact methods including regular phone calls, emails, voicemails, LinkedIn connections, direct mail, personalised videos, social media messaging, event networking and a strong telephone sales background.

  • Communication skills: with much of their time spent talking to clients and developing relationships, excellent communication skills are required in order to clearly communicate verbally with superb writing, communication, and listening skills to understand objections and defeat them by turning skeptics into ecstatic new customers, whilst forming to a wide variety of audiences to understand and empathise with client/buyer challenges and issues.

  • Pipeline management: experience in the use of core systems such as CRM and marketing automation platforms and responsibility for managing multiple client accounts desirable as applicants must be able to track and execute deliverables efficiently across timelines, but training can be provided, but outstanding time management skills essential. Ethical management of customer and prospect information to GDPR guidelines.

  • Creativity and determination: self-motivation and resilience is essential with an outcome focus on generating quality leads, with the ability to identify, challenge and navigate client challenges and blockers, with proven ability to make strong connections and overcome rejection to achieve results. Persistence, and self-motivation to try anything and everything to find what works to successfully generate quality SQLs.

  • Analytical skills: managing the pipeline, the SDR will be required to maintain the sales performance dashboard and present findings to the team, making suggestions for improvement.

  • Market research: ability to define a target audience, pinpointing the ideal customer and knowing what problems they have that we can solve, guiding your outreach and conversations.

  • Individual prospect research: learning about specific leads, understanding that preparation gives confidence and shows prospects that you have taken the time to understand them, helping build rapport and credibility.

Role

The Marketing Development Representative (MDR) qualifies inbound marketing leads to book sales appointments and demos.

Their objective is to accelerate our software and services sales cycle by responding to quality MQLs through inbound phone calls, chatbots and contact forms as a result of our digital marketing, advertising and email campaign efforts. They organise appointments and demos for the account executives to host.

Sitting within the sales function but work incredibly closely with marketing, their goal is to help the Sales Team grow our pipeline with quality, qualified Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) and support the sales effort to help convert deals into sales orders and revenue. Focussing on marketing-generated leads, from hand raises, to direct demo requests, across all our channels, the MDR helps our Marketing Team define and target good customer fit. The MDR contributes in the development of industry and product awareness content via digital advertising campaigns and respond to leads, determining who stays within our pipeline and who goes. If a prospect is a good fit, the MDR schedules the next step with Account Executives (AEs).

The MDR is laser-focused on bridging the gap between marketing and sales by responding to inbound inquiries, liaising with our marketing team to ensure we connect the right people with the right content relating to Operances’ innovative software and services and supplying the sales team with quality leads for sales to convert into orders and revenue.

  • Email campaign management: creation of personalised email campaigns targeted at curated prospect lists with the aim of growing our subscription base. Includes curation of our marketing team’s engaging content and developing a series of calls to action, encouraging subscribers to follow.

Role

As well as supporting our BIM team, you will also get the opportunity to carry out your own graphical and non-graphical (data) model checks and input into projects and occasionally taking the lead in order to develop your own leadership skills. You will also develop your own BIM documentation and help to review and test your colleague’s deliverables against client requirements.

As we are a growing digital construction team, you will play a role in helping to define our processes and best practices as well as the tools, platforms, and even code languages that we use! There is a lot of creative freedom afforded here and the work you do will be visible to stakeholders making this a great opportunity to show what you can do as well as grow, learn, and really contribute to some amazing, ground-breaking products and services.

 

Responsibilities

  • Development and maintenance of key BIM process documents such as AIR, EIR and BEP.
  • Graphical and non-graphical (data) model auditing and reporting.
  • Organise, chair and minute BIM-related meetings and workshops.
  • Preparation, production and transfer of COBie Data deliverables.
  • Interface with all project stakeholders to ensure that data is exchanged effectively and in formats that support their onward purpose.

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record working on PAS1192 and ISO 19650 projects.
  • Knowledge of Solibri is desirable but not necessary.
  • Good oral and written communication.
  • Sound technical understanding of UK construction processes, procedures, rules and regulations
  • Basic knowledge of coding and data science an advantage but not necessary.
  • A curious, innovative nature with a desire to learn and constantly improve.

 

Qualifications

Degree level qualification, or equivalent demonstrable experience, in Engineering, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Computer Science or other relevant discipline desirable.

Role

The Account Executive (AE) supports and grows existing client accounts and establishes new accounts.

Their objective is to accelerate our enterprise software sales cycle and grow our account base by solely focusing on hosting sales appointments and demos, converting sales qualified leads (SQLs) into new customer accounts and nurturing and developing existing customer accounts.

Their goal is to create new customer accounts to generate new revenue and identify gaps and growth potential within existing accounts to increase existing revenue streams.

Focussing on B2B sales and educating and guiding prospects through the buying process, the AE manages a pipeline of qualified leads to build relationships with potential customers whilst working with existing key accounts to retain and grow their business. They secure deals with new and existing customers at or above goal, working cross-functionally with marketing, sales and product teams to develop sales strategies for new and existing products.

The AE is laser-focused on solution-based sales, uncovering complexities and unnecessary costs in our prospects building information processes, addressed through Operances’ innovative software and services.

Responsibilities

  • Sales planning: development and presentation of business case proposals on suggested new target sectors.
  • Establish new accounts: bringing in new business, AEs use their sales knowledge and prospecting skills to attract new clients and create more business for the company, timing the acquisition of new client accounts and projects accordingly with expiring accounts to offset dips in revenue.
  • Grow accounts: working with existing key accounts to retain and grow their business by identifying gaps and growth potential, navigating existing accounts and meeting customer needs when they express interest, creating new opportunities.
  • Meet targets: individual AE goals based on sales performance and account retention and growth, securing deals with new and existing customers at or above goal and in line with overall sales team objectives and key results (OKRs).
  • Competitor management: strategic thinking in order to grow accounts and stay one step ahead of the competition, building knowledge of competitors, their offerings, relationships and goals, working with our product team to develop our USP.
  • Increase customer satisfaction: seek regular customer feedback on our performance as a vendor and service provider, recording results in order to demonstrably track progress over time to understand what’s broken and how it can be fixed. The AEs goal is to make sure our customers feel heard, through being patient, listening, and taking steps forward to suggest and make improvements.
  • Collecting and analysing data: managing the collection and analysis of pertinent data about the AECO (architecture, engineering, construction and operations) industry to help our company achieve the ideal service mix and set the right growth targets. Decisions about which segments and clients to target are made on informed decisions based on sound data, including information about client behavior and lifecycle, industry trends and growth potential for each new account.
  • Pipeline management: expeditious management of the pipeline and qualified leads to build relationships with prospects and existing customers, educating and guiding them through the buying process. Robust information management of pipeline data to ensure our sales and our customer’s information is safe, secure, uniform and GDR compliant
  • Cross-selling: primarily focussed on selling enterprise and pay-as-you-go individual licenses for our innovative building information management platform software, AEs have a secondary obligation to cross-sell our digital transformation and building information modelling services to clients that need it.
  • Cross-functionality: working within their dedicated sales pod, the AE works cross-functionally to bridge the gap between marketing, sales and product to develop sales strategies for new and existing products.
  • Meeting attendances: Input in the development and delivery of sales pod daily stand up (DSU) planning sessions, fortnightly sales sprints and monthly quarterly performance reviews.

Skills & Requirements

  • Education: bachelor’s degree or higher in subjects such as sales management, sales promotion, sales and marketing, business administration, communications, marketing or related fields desirable.
  • Sales experience: strong understanding of the sales process and knowledge of how to effectively work within a sales team/sales pod with professional hands-on experience. Qualified candidates should have a track record of results.
  • Negotiation: strong negotiation skills are required in order to negotiate a new client contract or renegotiate an existing client deal.
  • Communication skills: with much of their time spent talking to clients and maintaining relationships, excellent communication skills are required in order to clearly communicate verbally and in written form to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Pipeline management: responsible for managing multiple client accounts, applicants must be able to track and execute deliverables efficiently across timelines.
  • Leadership and management skills: Individuals in this role are often tasked with managing a team of junior and mid-level account executives. With this in mind, they should have some leadership experience or express a willingness to participate in management training to refine their leadership skills. As a manager, senior account executives should be able to coach and mentor those on their team, empowering them to reach their goals and offering solutions to support their development.
  • Analytical skills: Senior account executives are often tasked with working with sales leaders to set and track appropriate targets for their team. To do so, they must be able to read and interpret relevant data to understand their team’s performance and forecast suitable goals.
  • Problem-solving skills: whether they are on point for helping a client resolve an issue, or need to handle a personnel matter within their sales pod, account executives need to be creative, effective problem-solvers, being curious, proactive, and strategic in their approach.

Role

The Product Marketing Manager (PMM) represents the voice of the customer and clearly articulates our product’s value in a way that resonates with the market and drives product adoption, improvement and advocacy. The objective is two-fold;

  • Create demand for products through effective positioning, messaging and marketing programs. Develop a deep understanding of our product, the market, our customers, and competitors to clearly explain the unique value our products bring.
  • Champion the user by celebrating and elevating diverse perspectives, becoming an expert on the user and their needs, communicating them to our product owner, managers, designers, engineers, and sales teams.

The PMM will help drive our market adoption process by owning the product launch plan and subsequent new product and features launches whilst inputting to product development planning. They will develop a new marketing plan, outlining new marketing strategies for new and existing products and take ownership of this plan and our written style guide to develop consistent messaging and fulfill our business objectives. The PMM is laser-focused on B2B marketing, developing, driving and maintaining key messaging about Operances’ innovative software and services.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for someone that’s passionate about product marketing, strategy and positioning that knows how to craft clear, compelling messaging. Their everyday responsibilities could include;

  • Research: Customer, market and competitor analysis, expansion planning and evolving ecosystem dynamics.
  • Planning: develop and implement GTM marketing strategies to drive awareness and create demand.
  • Messaging: compelling messaging, positioning and tone of voice across channels (pages, campaigns, emails).
  • Launches: managing product and new feature launches to drive product adoption and accelerate product growth.
  • Content: identify gaps, build scalable assets, launch, monitor and experiment with timing, design, and cadence.
  • Collateral: partner closely with sales and delivery to develop impactful sales assets such as case studies.
  • Collaboration: develop internal team and external support relations to create thought-leadership content.
  • Website: ownership of the site and coordination of improvement projects and new page developments.
  • Reporting: feedback monthly product marketing performance against jointly developed OKR’s.

ROLE

The successful candidate will be an important member of our software development team working on digital solutions which tackle various challenges facing the modern construction industry. You will work with our CTO and scrum team to rapidly build cloud-native software solutions using modern technologies and tools to create innovative new features, maintain a growing code-base, and help mentor and motivate the wider development team.

As a senior developer, yours will be a leadership role within the development team playing a key part in steering and continually improving our code quality and development processes. You will have the opportunity to shape the growing software development department within Operance which will be pivotal to the product’s future success.

ROLE

As a Senior BIM Manager, you will help lead our BIM team, whilst also leading on your own projects to support our estates, design and construction clients with their organisational and projects requirements.

As we are a growing digital construction team, you will play a role in helping to define our processes and best practices as well as the tools, platforms, and even code languages that we use! There is a lot of creative freedom afforded here and the work you do will be visible to stakeholders making this a great opportunity to show what you can do as well as grow, learn, and really contribute to some amazing, ground-breaking products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Development and maintenance of key BIM process documents such as OIR, AIR, EIR and BEP.
  • Graphical and non-graphical (data) model auditing and reporting.
  • Organise, chair and minute BIM-related meetings and workshops.
  • Preparation, production and transfer of COBie Data deliverables.
  • Interface with all project stakeholders to ensure that data is exchanged effectively and in formats that support their onward purpose.
  • Client team, project team and supply chain training and support.
  • Engaging with clients and asset owning organisations to identify, explore and challenge their Information Management requirements.
  • Analyse and interpret client digital requirements
  • Write, and contribute to, detailed reports
  • Contribute to the development of Operance’s service offer
  • Act as an ambassador for Operance

Qualifications

Degree level or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Computer Science or other relevant disciplines desirable but not necessary.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record working on PAS1192 and ISO 19650 projects.
  • Knowledge of Solibri and Autodesk Revit desirable but not necessary.
  • Good oral and written communication.
  • Good knowledge of latest trends in digital construction technology.
  • Sound technical understanding of UK construction processes, procedures, rules and regulations
  • Competent skills in project management.
  • Proficient document and report writing.
  • Basic knowledge of coding and data science an advantage but not necessary.
  • A curious, innovative nature with a desire to learn and constantly improve necessary.
